YIN Shouwei


Yin Shouwei, professer, He served as associate professor and Ph. D supervisor at School of Food Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology. His interests mainly include self-assembled protein particles and Pickering emulsions. He developed a facile platform technology for functional protein-based particles development via Flash NanoPrecipitation (FNP). Pickering emulsions and high internal phase emulsions were successfully developed, with promising potentials as delivery vehicles of functional ingredients and a potential alternative for PHOs.  Thirty-seven SCI papers were published as the corresponding/first author, among them, of which 32 papers were in Q 1 or Q 2; 3 papers were ESI highly cited papers, and 1 was hot paper. Dr. Yin has served as member of Editorial Advisory Board of Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. He was selected as the Guangdong Special Support Program, Ten Million Young Top Talents Program (2014) and Guangzhou "Pearl River Science and Technology Star" (2015). He presided over 12 research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation. Ten patents were authorized. He won two awards, the second award of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology (Num. 10, 2015), Science Research Famous Achievement Award in Higher Institution (2nd Prize for Natural Science, 2017).
